Tutorial Zuken/Vitech

An Introduction into Systems Engineering and Model-Based System Engineering through a practical product model development.

Session contents

The session will briefly introduce the topic of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and progress to a practical exercise of captures and defining the elements for a model, focussing on the four main pillars of MBSE; Requirements, Structure/Architecture, Behaviour and Verification&Validation. The session will share how the separate elements are interlinked, from capturing requirements, planning the architecture of the product, traceability for example from the requirements to components and verification. The session will cover behaviour and validate this, while also capturing use case information. In addition, we will consider the verification and test section of the model and how we can support the V process model from concept to delivery. Understanding and communicating the information contained in the model to the various stakeholders, how we can be efficient in the visualisation and engage stakeholders into the project.

With the participation of the audience the session will capture and develop a drone project.

Designed to elevate the engineers and provide a greater understanding, knowledge, techniques of systems thinking, methodologies to provide solutions to the challenge of ever increasing complexity.
